Leader 3sams board is called ”Local Action Group” LAG, and consists of local representatives from the private, non-profit, and public sectors. They possess a unique and diverse competence that comes in handy when decisions are to be made about local projects!
Non-profit, public, and private sector in collaboration
The association is open to everyone and is a politically and religiously independent non-profit organization with the purpose of promoting, conducting, and coordinating local and regional development work in accordance with the Leader method. The association shall carry out the work in accordance with Leader 3sam Strömsund – Ragunda's development strategy and the budget allocated by the Swedish Board of Agriculture for the EU program period 2023 – 2027. Joint collaboration with other organizations and actors within and outside the strategy may occur if it promotes the development of the leader area.
The LAG board (Local Action Group) constitutes the board of the association and is responsible for the management and accounting of the non-profit association and the activities of the leader area to implement the local development strategy. The LAG board is also responsible for ongoing activities such as administration and personnel as well as assessment and prioritization of project applications. The board shall be composed of at least two representatives from each sector, non-profit, business, and public from each municipal area.
