This is what we expect from you as an applicant:
• contributes with voluntary work or resources equivalent to at least 30% of the project's budget. Example: working hours, materials, venue utilization, or other efforts that do not incur direct costs.
The project Prepared in Strömsund and Ragunda
Leader 3sam works with about ten engaged associations in Strömsund and Ragunda municipalities that are interested in building up their local preparedness!
We offer a micro support to ensure that you have the most basic needs to be prepared for various kinds of crises regarding e.g. heat, water, electricity, communication, first aid, cooking facilities, or training.
We collaborate with the safety coordinators in both municipalities as well as the Adult Education Association with study materials to develop local preparedness plans and identify the unique needs in each locality. Through peer circles and study materials, you will receive tools to strengthen the locality's crisis preparedness and increase safety for all. Thanks to the micro support, you will have the opportunity to purchase necessary equipment for your gathering place.
The project will run until autumn 2026.

Kurbits competence development program

Kurbits – New forces! is a competence development program for up to 20 participants per municipality. The program consists of two parallel processes – one in each municipality – as well as a joint reunion. The project also covers costs for coffee breaks, lunch, venue rental, and project management.
The program aims to: find new ways of working to strengthen and develop the association's organization, motivate and engage new forces – both members and other resources in the local community, explore new forms of collaboration and coordination of resources in a more sustainable way, create attractive activities that attract more to participate and contribute.
The purpose of the project is to create long-term change in our Leader area by strengthening the capacity of local actors – such as village associations, village teams, community centers, and businesses – and inspire new ideas, collaborations, and ways of working that contribute to a vibrant, attractive, and sustainable place.
Through the project, we want to give all actors in the area equal opportunities to develop, build strong networks, and access knowledge, inspiration, new perspectives on their hometown, and practical tools for working with sustainable place development. The focus is on creating conditions for engagement, collaboration, and long-term local development.
Place development from the inside & out!
In our pre-study project, we conduct an in-depth analysis to develop the concept “We Rural Builders” as part of long-term place development. The purpose of the pre-study project is to conduct an in-depth analysis to further develop the concept “We Rural Builders” to achieve maximum benefit and even better effects when it comes to long-term place development. We wish to find a clearer connection between the Leader method and We Rural Builders and develop the concept as a tool to fulfill our local development strategy.
Through this in-depth analysis of existing materials, reports, and strategies, the development of statistical data, target group and needs analysis, environmental analysis, as well as workshops/think tanks, the purpose of this pre-study will be achieved. The pre-study should result in a tool in our work to understand our environment and help us create initiatives and communication that are timely. When the pre-study project concludes, we should have a well-developed basis that can serve as the foundation for an implementation project.
