This is how it works!
To begin with, there must be a development idea, something that can be refined and summarized into a concrete project and a formal project application. We will help you along the way!
Four steps to your project
A project is a process with four different steps. To begin with, there must be a development idea, something that can be refined and summarized into a concrete project and a formal project application must be written. Thereafter, the project, if approved, should be implemented according to the conditions and regulations that exist. Finally, the project should be completed and reported.
Step 1
Get started
Do you have an idea for local development that could benefit many? Associations and others with an organization number can apply for project support from us! There is no exact finished form for which ideas can become a Leader project. The best thing is to dare to test, and we will help you move forward in the process. We will come to you or have a digital meeting and then see how we can proceed. We will guide you through the entire process, application, and all parts of the project.
Some important points to think through before you write the project plan: What do you want to do and what is the purpose? Will the project benefit many and who will that be? Who will implement the idea? Are you several working together? Is the working method non-discriminatory? Is the project something beyond regular operations and will the project add something new and create development in the community? Last but not least, will it be sustainable over time?
Step 2
Write the application
We accept applications on an ongoing basis and make decisions about 4-6 times a year. Start by testing the development idea against our checklist contact us and await feedback. In the meantime, you can take a look at our informational material that is available for download.
Associations and others with an organization number can apply for support. Familiarize yourself with the project plan and power of attorney to begin with. The organization that intends to apply for project support should make a joint decision and document that they want to apply for support from Leader 3sam. Ensure that you have a current registration certificate. One or a couple of people should be given the power of attorney to later log in with e-identification at the Swedish Board of Agriculture and make the application when the Leader office has given the green light. From idea to application is a process that we at Leader 3sam help you with – we are available as support and sounding board!
Step 3
Implement
When the project has been prioritized by the board of Leader 3sam, the project can start, but it is done at your own risk until the authority's decision from the Swedish Board of Agriculture has arrived. Read the decision from the Swedish Board of Agriculture carefully and keep it available, as it states the project's end date.
Important to know! It is a requirement from the EU to use logos on, for example, informational material and websites. The EU logo and Leader logo should be clearly visible. Download here. Feel free to ask us to ensure it is correct!
Step 4
Conclude
During the course of the project, it is possible to partially request funds, so you do not have to lay out so much money at once.
After the project is completed, it is time to write the final report where you explain how you achieved your goals and what costs you had for the project.
After the final report has been approved, the final payment for the project will be made. Now you can enjoy your results!
Can your idea become
a leader project?
Use our checklist!
Does the project fall within the framework of our strategy?
Can the project clearly contribute to achieving the goals of the strategy?
Gender equality
Is the project's working form and distribution of tasks designed so that women and men have equal opportunities to influence the project's design, participate in the implementation, and benefit from the project's results?
Collaboration
Should the project take place in collaboration between at least two of the sectors non-profit, private, and public?
Broad benefit
Will the project's expected results be of broad benefit, meaning improvements/development for more than those who carry out the project?
Implementation capacity
Do you have an organized co-financing and plan for how the project could be implemented practically?
Innovation
Should the project be used to create development in various ways – not to support already existing activities?
Non-discrimination
Have you considered openness and non-discrimination? It is an absolute requirement that no one is prevented from influencing the project's design, participating in the implementation, or benefiting from the project's results due to gender, ethnic affiliation, religion, disability, sexual orientation, or age.
